Lighting a car or karting track is always different from one project to the next. Indeed, no track follows a defined pattern, so we adapt to the length and specific features of your circuit to offer you the ideal floodlights and support you in all your motorsports projects.
LED headlights represent a significant advantage over older headlights. You’ll save significantly more energy by installing LED lighting. Their efficiency allows them to be operational immediately upon switching on, providing quality lighting.
Conversely, metal halide headlights, the ones used in relamping projects, are much more energy-intensive, and their light intensity takes a few minutes to reach its maximum level once switched on.
For a racetrack or karting track, it’s important to be operational at all times to ensure optimal visual comfort for safe driving.
For large spaces such as racetracks, we recommend floodlights from the Goliath range. Indeed, on racetracks, lighting towers of 15 meters and more are often found, requiring relatively high power to allow the light to diffuse well.
As mentioned previously, high-power LED floodlights are essential to properly illuminate a racetrack. Our Goliath LED luminaires are the most powerful of all our LED sports floodlights, with power outputs ranging from 600W to 1800W and a luminous efficacy of 160 lm/W.
It is also possible to individually orient the modules of each floodlight and assign them different light diffusion optics to achieve a uniform result adapted to the curves of the track.
No matter how your masts are positioned, these floodlights can be easily adapted and illuminate your circuits perfectly.
At Speqtris Sport, the lifespan of a Goliath spotlight is calculated according to L70, L80, or L90 standards.
They can be installed outdoors or indoors, which can expose them to the elements. However, rain settles on the optics and creates dust as it dries. This dust can slightly obstruct the light output, which is why we recommend maintaining them from time to time to maintain their maximum efficiency.
Lifespan | at 25°C | at 30°C | at 45°C |
L70 | 326 000h | 300 000h | 287 000h |
L80 | 197 000h | 175 000h | 162 000h |
L90 | 82 000h | 80 000h | 78 000h |
Lighting for racing tracks, karting tracks, BMX tracks, or motocross tracks generally requires lighting mounted on high masts and spotlights with suitable optics to illuminate the track without dazzling the drivers and spectators.
The French Motorsport Federation has not prescribed any specific standards for lighting. We adapt to each project to provide the appropriate lighting.

Car racing and karting tracks are never identical, whether in terms of distance, turns, or layout. This is why, for each project, we must study the ideal layout for diffuse and uniform lighting on a case-by-case basis.
